With all the hype building toward the release of Star Wars: The Last Jedi in December, a lot of SW fans are equally as pumped for Star Wars Battlefront II which comes out a month earlier. The game promises to be three times bigger than the first Battlefront, and EA has released a new Launch trailer for the game.
Heroes are born on the battlefront, and in Star Wars Battlefront 2, you're able to experience it for yourself. Play as heroes from all three eras of Star Wars in massive battles across iconic locations, and take part in a thrilling single-player story as Iden Versio fights to avenge the Emperor.
Probably the biggest hook for BF II is the single-player campaign that will provide us with a story that is part of the Star Wars canon. The campaign will follow the journey of loyal Imperial Iden Versio as she tries to salvage what is left of the Empire and crush the Rebel Alliance. Her quest will most likely sow the seeds for the First Order in the sequel trilogy.
Looking at the trailer, we have a lot of new locations confirmed. We get to see maps like Kashyyyk and the cloner planet of Kamino. We also get to come back to familiar maps like Jakku and Hoth. Not to mention a look at some of the available heroes.
After the disappointment that was Star Wars Battlefront from 2015, hopefully EA and DICE make good with the fans and deliver one hell of a game this November.
Star Wars Battlefront II comes out Nov. 17.
