It's been pointed out before that Marvel's Winter Soldier Sebastian Stan kind of resembles a young Mark Hamill a.k.a. Luke Skywalker, and a lot of people are wanting him to play the part should there be a story involving a young Luke. Sitting down with MTV, Stan is asked to informally "audition" for the part of Luke.

Check it out:

I think that it seems a bit obvious that Stan isn't really a fan of the franchise, but I do admit, once he got serious and started saying the lines, "I'll never turn to the Dark Side. You've failed your highness. I'm a Jedi, like my father before me," I was immediately sold.

With Hamill standing at 5'10 and Stan at a flat 6', I think he could very well pull off a Luke Skywalker in his prime. Though Stan may not be a fan of the franchise, that doesn't mean he can't pull off a great portrayal of the character. Harrison Ford absolutely hates Han Solo, but it's still fun to watch him play the part.

Should there be a movie featuring a young Luke, I guess it would probably take place in between the story of the original trilogy. Maybe we can follow the story of Wedge Antilles' Rogue Squadron, and Luke Skywalker can be one of his squad members. I can totally see it happening.

As of now, Lucasfilm hasn't confirmed any Star Wars anthology with a young Luke Skywalker, but we can follow Han Solo's origin when Solo: A Star Wars Story hits theaters May 25, 2018.
