Watch Johnny Depp And Michelle Pfeiffer In First Clip From Murder On The Orient Express

Agatha Christie's novel Murder on the Orient Express is getting a film adaptation from Kenneth Branagh and it's set to come out early in November. The movie has a list of very notable stars, and 20th Century Fox has released a sneak peek involving stars Michelle Pfeiffer and Johnny Depp.

Check it out:

The film boasts a very fine cast which includes Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench, Josh Gad, Penelope Cruz, and Star Wars' Daisy Ridley. Branagh himself will also be playing the role of famous fictional inspector Hercule Poirot.

Here's the film synopsis:

What starts out as a lavish train ride through Europe quickly unfolds into one of the most stylish, suspenseful and thrilling mysteries ever told. From the novel by bestselling author Agatha Christie, Murder on the Orient Express tells the tale of thirteen strangers stranded on a train, where everyone's a suspect. One man must race against time to solve the puzzle before the murderer strikes again.

I'll admit I haven't read the novel at all, but the story is one so embedded in pop-culture that everyone has probably encountered a parody of it in one way or another. Almost every long-running TV series has had an episode where there's a supposed "murderer" in the room and everyone has to find out who the culprit is by the end of the episode.

Just looking at the trailer, I think the film looks amazing, and it would be a nice break to see a classic come to life in November, what with the big-budget superhero films like Thor: Ragnarok and Justice League coming out.

Murder on the Orient Express comes out Nov. 10.
