Warner Bros to Give Breathing Room Between Batman Solo Movie & Justice League 2

Zack Snyder has been linked to the DC films franchise for some time now. But following Justice League, he will be focusing on another film that's outside the superhero genre.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Snyder's next film after the ensemble movie will be focused on Afghanistan. Titled The Last Photograph, this movie will be a thriller that's already been in development since the mid-2000s and right after his 300 movie.

The story of the film is about a war correspondent assigned in Afghanistan. He is a survivor of an attack on Americans in the area, but in the hopes of getting the story of a lifetime, he sets out with an ops solder to pursue this dream.

The script has already been in the works, though it needs some polishing. Snyder will also be looking at finding actors for the movie, as there is currently no one attached yet. Shooting might begin sometime in late 2017.

DC fans need not worry, since Snyder will be back for Justice League 2. This also makes sense, since the timeline between the first movie and the second will be devoted to Ben Affleck's Batman in the works. And, let's face it, Warner Bros. does need to evaluate if a Justice League 2 is a justified movie following the results of the first one.

Justice League will be out in theaters on Nov. 16, 2017.
