Warner Bros. Confirms Ben Affleck is Directing Standalone Batman Film

Warner Bros. CEO Kevin Tsujihara confirms that a standalone Batman film with Ben Affleck at the helm is in development.

Durinng his opening remarks at the studio's presentation at Cinemacon, Tsujihara said that the studio was excited to be moving forward with the film, which has long been rumored but never officially confirmed. He also confirmed the Aquaman film with James Wan.

But on Monday, he took the CinemaCon stage and talked about the movie:

"It's been tremendously exciting for us to be a part of the DC Universe, and we're looking forward to working on Justice League," said Affleck, who showed up with BvS co-star Amy Adams shortly after Tsujihara's remarks.
