Veteran Disney Voice Actor David Ogden Siers Dies at 75

It's a sad day for everyone who grew up with Disney movies. Veteran Disney voice actor David Ogden Siers has passed away at age 75 after a battle with bladder cancer.

You may not be familiar with the name David Ogden Siers, but there is a chance that you have watched his voice on characters like Cogsworth from the original animated Beauty and the Beast or the mad scientist Jumba from Lilo and Stitch.

Siers has also provided the voice of the archdeacon in The Hunchback of Notre Dame as well as the villain Ratcliffe (and his servant Wiggins) in Disney's Pocahontas. He's also the narrator for several Winnie the Pooh shorts.

Before he was voicing fan-favorite Disney characters, he also played Maj. Charles Winchester in M*A*S*H. Siers also provided the voice of Kamaji in the dubbed version of Spirited Away as well as the animated Justice League's villain Solovar.

With a career that has spanned 50 years, several people are mourning Siers on social media, especially those who grew up to love the characters that he's played. No doubt Siers will live forever in the work that he's left behind, and many future generations can still enjoy characters like Cogsworth or Jumba Jookiba.
