Venom: Set Video Has Eddie Brock Reacting To The Symbiote

Production for the Venom movie is now in full swing, and we've been getting a few peeks from the set here and there. A new set video has Tom Hardy's Eddie Brock supposedly reacting to the symbiote, and it gives us an idea of what to expect from the film.

Check it out:

After Brock supposedly takes a tumble in an alley, he stops to look at what seems to be his reflection then suddenly jumps back. I have a feeling this scene would have already had Brock taken over by the symbiote and it could be making Brock see things.

Though a lot of fans were against Sony making this movie, it seems that Sony is really confident with the script counting that they want to make more Spider-Man spinoffs that aren't related to Tom Holland's Spider-Man character at all. Hopefully Marvel and Sony can come to some sort of arrangement and share even more characters. What's Venom without a Spider-Man to fight?

Rumor has it that this movie will be based on the Venom: Lethal Protector storyline from the comics with some influence from the Ultimate version of the character. In that comic, instead of coming from outer space, the symbiote was actually a artificially constructed biosuit that was supposed to cure diseases. I have no idea how much that comes into play in the film, but it has also been rumored that the villain would be Carnage (possibly played by Rogue One's Riz Ahmed).

Venom is set for a release on Oct. 5, 2018.
