Universal Orlando May Be Developing A Video Game-Based Theme Park with Nintendo and Warcraft Attractions

Universal Studios is reportedly building a theme park with a heavy focus on video games for its Orlando resort. The rumored park would feature various attractions based on Blizzard Entertainment and Nintendo properties.

According to the Orlando theme park enthusiast site This Is Infamous , a Mario Kart ride is currently in the works for the park, as well as attractions based on The Legend of Zelda and Pokemon. The site additionally states that World of Warcraft will have a big presence in the park, which makes sense considering Universal is the co-producing Duncan Jones' upcoming Warcraft film adaptation.

Universal Studios is reportedly building a theme park mainly focused on video games for its Orlando Resort. The rumored park would feature various attractions based on Blizzard Entertainment and Nintendo properties.

Earlier this year, Nintendo and Universal announced a partnership to develop theme park attractions based on Nintendo games, character, and worlds. Following the announcement, reports surfaced stating the partnership would mainly be used to reboot the children's play area. But according to this report, Universal has been developing too many Nintendo-based attractions for the kids' area alone, leading to the plan for an entirely new theme park on top of the pre-existing Universal Studios Florida and Universal's Islands of Adventure.

A major expansion for the Universal Orlando Resort is very likely to be developed, given that the company is rumored to be replacing its Wet N Wild Orlando waterpark witha sixth on-site hotel.

What kind of attractions would you like to see in Universal's video game-based theme park?
