Transformers: Prime Wars Trilogy Nab Mark Hamill And Ron Perlman

It looks like Hasbro and Machinima have acquired some impressive star power to the voice cast of the third and final entry the Transformers: Prime Wars web series.

Machinima has just announced the inclusion of Mark Hamill and Ron Perlman in its Transformers: Prime Wars web series ( via Screen Rant). While the Star Wars legend has been contracted to voice the ancient villain Megatronus, Perlman has been added to voice the heroic Optimus Primal. Primal is set to debut in Transformers: Power of the Primes, the final chapter of the trilogy. Megatronous on the other hand is to debut in the finale of Transformers: TitansReturn.

The Prime Wars Trilogy has been a successful web series, gathering a massive global audience. Power of the Primes promises to up the ante, featuring the return of Megatronous. For those who aren't familiar with the character, Megatronous is more or less a god, one of the original thirteen primes that separated ways to found the Decepticons.

Cybertron's heroes will have to look for reinforcements in order to face Megatronous, and it seems like this will include Optimus Primal. Primal is an ambivalent Cybertronian who's become famous because of the Beast Wars cartoon. With his flexible voice, it seems fitting that Hamill voices Megatronous while Perlman lends his voice for Optimus Primal.

Transformers: Power of the Primes premieres on go90 in Spring this year.
