Trading Feature Confirmed For Pokemon Go

Pokemon Go users will soon be able to trade Pokemon in the augmented reality game. At the Pokemon Go Panel at San Diego Comic-Con, Niantic Labs CEO John Hanke confirmed that players would have the option to trade Pokemon in a future update, adding a feature that was originally introduced in the Pokemon Red and Pokemon Blue games for Game Boy Color.

The trading feature was originally a part of the beta test, but it was only limited to local trading. We still don't know if the final version of the feature will have the option to trade via the Internet.

Hanke previously confirmed that Pokemon Go would eventually get the trading feature, calling it a "core element" to the game.
