Tomb Raider TV Spot Sets A New Adventure For Lara Croft

Warner Brother's Tomb Raider reboot is scheduled to hit cinemas this March, and it seems like the studio's been busy working on the film's marketing campaign.

Last week, Lara Croft fans got the second official trailer for Roar Uthaug's upcoming Tomb Raider movie. Today they have a brand new TV spot, mixing the tempo of the previous previews by underlining how Lara's eager for "an adventure." The previous trailers for Tomb Raider have been highlighting the urgency of Lara's mission, showing how Lara needs to deal with the Trinity for the sake of her father.

Though the preview barely shows any new footage, it's interesting to see how Warner Brothers to lighten the marketing of the film, offering an adventure that looks a lot like the 2013 reboot of the video game series. The new TV spot certainly adds a bit more liveliness to the film's marketing campaign, though the preview does use the same dark version of Destiny Child's song, Survivor (the use of "dark" versions of pop songs in movie previews has been a trend the past few years).

Here's a short description of Tomb Raider:

Lara Croft, the fiercely independent daughter of a missing adventurer, must push herself beyond her limits when she finds herself on the island where her father disappeared.

Tomb Raider is set for release on March 16, 2018.
