Tom Holland Didn’t Get Any Advice From Other Spider-Man Stars

Marvel fans have been falling in love with Tom Holland's version of Spider-Man ever since he made his debut in Avengers: Civil War last year and they're looking forward to seeing more of his witty antics in his upcoming Spider-Man solo, Homecoming. The Spider-Man franchise has seen about three actors in the last fifteen years, and so far Holland's rendition of Spidey has been considered as the most comic accurate yet. Surprisingly, it seems like Holland has not gotten any advice from Spider-Man alums Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield.

Speaking in an interview with Variety, Holland revealed he hasn't been able to talk with either actors despite the fact that they've said good things about him online.

"No. I wasn't in touch with them. They both said some really lovely things about me online. I met Andrew at the BAFTAs the other day. It was cool. He's such a nice guy and we had a great chat and went our separate ways... We just talked about how fantastic he's been doing and all the brilliant movies he's been in lately. He talked to me about how excited I must be and how happy he was for me. It was all great."

It's great to hear how Garfield has been such a good sport, after all the Spider-Man reboot by Marc Webb didn't fare so well amongst fans and critics. Then again, Garfield has a bright future ahead of him and his career is doing great after working on critically acclaimed Oscar-worthy films like Silence and Hacksaw Ridge.

Let's see whether Holland continues to give a smashing performance in Spider-Man: Homecoming which premieres on July 7, 2017.
