Tom Hiddleston Wants to See Loki and Doctor Strange Facing Off In MCU

If you've ever wondered who would win a fight between Loki and Doctor Strange, then you're not alone.

The God of Mischief himself, Tom Hiddleston, apparently wants to see who has the upper hand if his character, Loki, and his good friend Benedict Cumberbatch's Sorcerer Supreme ever does meet in the Marvel Universe.

Hiddleston met Cumberbatch on the set of Steven Spielberg's Warhorse.

The 35-year-old English actor told the Daily News that he started to think about the possibility after seeing the first ever Doctor Strange trailer released this week.

He said:

In some hypothetical world, I don't quite know when, for Loki and Dr. Strange to share the same frame would be very exciting indeed.
Because Benedict Cumberbatch is an old friend. So I would think it would be interesting to see who would get the upperhand.

It's certainly an interesting thought. Doctor Strange may have supernatural powers that any magician would envy, but Loki probably has a lot of tricks up his sleeve that the Sorcerer Supreme would be surprised by.

However, even if that battle is possible, Hiddleston hinted about the length of his stay in the MCU. He said:

Truthfully, I do actually know at the moment how many more times I'm going to play Loki, but I'm not going to tell you. It's not personal it's just keeping it fresh for all paying customers to enjoy their films.
And also I'm the God of mischief so it's my predisposition to play games.

To be directed by Scott Derrickson, Doctor Strange will follow the story of Doctor Stephen Strange, a popular neurosurgeon who gets into a terrible car accident and finds out he can save lives using the hidden world of magic and alternate dimensions.

Aside from Cumberbatch, the cast includes Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One, Rachel McAdams as Christine Palmer, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Baron Mordo, Benedict Wong as Wong and Mads Mikkelsen in a mystery role.

Doctor Strange hits theaters this November 4.
