Despite being young and good looking, there's a lot of skepticism over the casting of Brenton Thwaites as Dick Grayson in the upcoming Titans television show. Similar to the casting of Anna Diop as Starfire, fans just have a lot of expectations for the live-action portrayal of these characters. For Dick Grayson fans, it's not what's up front that matters, but what's behind.
Grayson might be known for being Robin and Nightwing, but what's made him famous is his glorious ass. Artists have always drawn this well, making it stand out and having it lead to some fun plot points in the comics. This is why fans have been googling Thwaites' butt recently.
Comic Book claims that Google searches for Thwaites' posterior increased after he was cast for the Titans tv show. Prior to this, people didn't really search for this asset of the actor, since most just knew him for his role in the most recent Pirates of the Caribbean movie. Now that he has been cast as one of comic's most gifted characters - if you know what I mean - fans want to see if he is worthy to suit up as the character.
Titans will be premiering in DC's new streaming service next year. It will be interesting to see who else is cast alongside Grayson, Raven and Starfire, since the group is one of the comic company's most beloved.
