Titans Casts Its Live-Action Raven

DC's started casting the stars for its highly anticipated live-action Titans series and Australian newbie Teagan Croft has just been cast as the half-demon empathy, Raven.

Though Croft isn't that well known to American television audiences, the 13-year-old actress has done some work in Australia, starring in Home and Away as well as landing a role in upcoming Aussie movie, The Osiris Child.

According to Deadline, Titans will be Croft's breakout role in Western Television and while it's uncertain how audiences will take to her rendition of Raven, we certainly hope that she'll do well. Knowing that Titans is being made by DC president Geoff Johns, Akiva Goldsman, and Sara Schechter we're pretty sure that Croft was being cast because the production saw some potential in her.

Like in the comics, Croft's Raven is a demon-daughter and powerful empathy who has to keep her emotions in order to keep from releasing her demon side. Casting calls of the series also has the Titan described as "troubled, bullied (and) often scared but unwilling to show it."

Following a group of young soon-to-be superheroes from all around the DC Universe, Titans is an action adventure series which focuses on its leader Dick Grayson, as well as heroes like Starfire, Raven and the others.

Titans is slated to premiere sometime in 2018.
