Zack Snyder Thanks DC Fans for Raising Funds for Suicide Prevention

DC Extended Universe director Zack Snyder gives his thanks to all the DC fans who helped raise money and donate to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

Not only have DC fans been campaigning for the release of Snyder's version of Justice League the past few years, but they've also been spending their time raising money for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention after learning about the heartbreaking death of the director's daughter.

Snyder's daughter Autumn killed herself in March 2017, and while the director and his wife tried their best to drown himself in his work, the loss of their child weighed on the couple and so Snyder decided to step back from the production of Justice League. That allowed Warner Brothers to come in with Avengers director Joss Whedon who incorporated major reshoots into the project.

Now that Snyder's original vision for Justice League is going to make its way to HBO Max, Snyder has decided to take to Twitter to thank fans for their support and for the effort that they made raising funds for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.

DC fans were able to raise more than $200,000 for charity – a sizeable sum that's now going to the campaign for suicide prevention. Goes to show that DC fans are capable of such amazing things. Not only were they able to make the Snyder Cut come true, but they were also able to raise funds to help others.

Zack Snyder's version of Justice League is set to arrive on HBO Max sometime in 2021.
