Warner Brothers Releases Official Batman Ninja Synopsis

It looks like the highly anticipated Dark Knight anime, Batman Ninja, finally has an official synopsis.

Warner Brothers has just recently released a new film synopsis for its upcoming Japanese animated period martial arts superhero movie, Batman Ninja directed by Junpei Mizusaki, the opening animation producer of JoJo's Bizarre Adventure and JoJo's Bizzare Adventure: Stardust Crusader Egypt Arc. Mizusaki was also the director of the film Kouchou Ouja Mushiking Super Battle Movie: Yami no Kaizou Kouchuu.

Here's the synopsis for Batman Ninja:

"Batman Ninja takes a journey across the ages as Gorilla Grodd's time displacement machine transports many of Batman's worst enemies to feudal Japan - along with the Dark Knight and a few of his allies. The villains take over the forms of the feudal lords that rule the divided land, with the Joker taking the lead among the warring factions. As his traditional high-tech weaponry is exhausted almost immediately, Batman must rely on his intellect and his allies - including Catwoman and the extended Bat-family - to restore order to the land, and return to present-day Gotham City."

Having Batman, his allies, as well as his greatest enemies being sent back in time to feudal Japan sounds like the makings of an exciting story. We can't wait to see the story play out on the small screen.

Rated PG-13 for action, violence and suggestive material, Batman Ninja is set for digital release on April 24 and Blu-Ray on May 8th.
