Warner Brothers Has Allegedly Fired Amber Heard From Aquaman 2

For the past few months, the DC news mill has been churning out reports about Aquaman star Amber Heard's legal battle with her former husband, Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them actor, Johnny Depp.

Last month, word had it that Heard was possibly facing jail time for allegedly faking injuries so that she could obtain a temporary restraining order against her former spouse. Now, according to a report by Cosmic Book News, rumor has it that Heard has been fired from the DC Extended Universe. Warner Brothers has allegedly axed the actress from Aquaman 2, buying out her current contract to work for the DCEU.

The site claims that Heard is currently being considered as uninsurable like Robert Downey Jr. when he was on drugs. Because of the legal issues surrounding her, Warner Brothers allegedly refuses to work with the actress from here on out.

Of course, as with any rumor, we advise readers to take this report with a grain of salt. Warner Brothers has yet to officially announce its plans for Aquaman 2, and while it's very likely that the studio won't want any sort of affiliation with Heard if the court proves her to be guilty, we haven't received any official word from the studio yet.

We're hoping that we'll get news about Heard's involvement in Aquaman 2 soon. Fans would definitely want to know whether or not Mera will be appearing in the Aquaman sequel.

Aquaman 2 is set to premiere on December 16, 2022.
