Todd McFarlane Teases New Spawn Update

It looks like Spawn comic book writer Todd McFarlane has a brand new update about his live-action movie featuring the Vertigo Comics superhero after the success of Todd Phillips' highly successful Joker movie.

Right now we're not quite sure about what McFarlane has for his comic book movie, however we do know that Jamie Fox is going to play the Hellspawn warrior who started out as CIA black ops team member Al Simmons. Avengers: Endgame actor Jeremy Renner is also set to star in the upcoming R-Rated comic book movie.

There have been very few details about McFarlane's new movie the past few months. The film was originally announced back in 2017. Back then to comicbook writer was supposed to direct, produce, and write the upcoming live-action comic book of the same name.

It's been a while since then – a sign that there's been some trouble with the film' s production behind the scene. Trevorrow blames this on the film's R-rating for its production woes, seeing how analysts don't really believe that R-rated movies would suit Spawn.

That's why Joker's success has inspired McFarlane. Phillip's R-Rated movie has been well-accepted by audiences despite the controversy surrounding the movie. If Joker could do it, why not Spawn, right?

Spawn has yet to receive a release date but we'll update everyone as soon as we get word.
