Thor Expected To Deliver The Final Blow Against Thanos In Avengers 4

Thanos (Josh Brolin) might have turned half of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's living population into dust during the end of Avengers: Infinity War, but everyone's expecting Captain America (Chris Evans), Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.), and the rest of the Avengers to undo the massacre that the Mad Titan unleashed using the Infinity Gauntlet.

Of course, turning back time to resurrect the lives lost to the Infinity Stones is definitely going to need a whole lot of team effort, however, it would probably take just one Avenger to deliver the final blow against Thanos.

The majority's guess?

According to CBR, that honor would most likely go to Thor (Chris Hemsworth).

Thor has one of the most heartbreaking arcs in the film. Not only does the Asgardian God of Thunder lose his people during the opening of Infinity War, but he also loses his brother – the very last member of his family.

After forging his new ax together with Groot (Vin Diesel), Rocket Racoon (Bradley Cooper) and Eitri the King of the Dwarves (Peter Dinklage), Thor uses Stormbreaker to drive a gash through Thanos' chest during the final act of Infinity War. Unfortunately, the blow fails to kill the Mad Titan, and Thanos manages to snap his fingers and obliterate half of the universe before escaping to a future planet of Titan.

While many fans were disappointed by Thor's failure, everyone's hoping that the Asgardian gets one more shot at the Mad Titan. The guy's been through enough already. He needs some reprise from all the losses that he's had in the past two Marvel movies that he's been in.

Avengers 4 hits cinemas May 3, 2019.
