The World’s Rarest Star Wars Toy is Priced at $225K

It looks like one of the rarest Star Wars toys has made its way online.

A true prototype Rocket Firing Boba Fett action figure has been put up on sale on eBay this week. While it might not seem like much to the casual Star Wars fan, this Rocket Firing Boba Fett has been considered one of the most sought-after items in the galaxy far, far away.

Back in 2019, the prototype Star Wars action figure was being sold for over $130 thousand at an auction. The winning bid came at approximately more than $185 thousand dollars.

That iteration of the figure was among the 80 to 100 examples of the Rocket Firing Boba Fett action figure prototype that was made in the "final phase of development." A J-Slot prototype, the figure enjoyed a "fully painted engineering pilot with country-of-origin and copyright stamps."

Now, Slash Gear has managed to find another version of the Rocket Firing Boba Fett action figure.

This one being sold on E-bay was part of the earlier part of the production's design process and has a quality grade of 90 – ten points higher than the vintage prototype Boba Fett Rocket-Firing L-Slot example which was sold by Dallas Vintage Toys for $45k.

Interestingly enough, the price for this iteration of the figure is much, much higher, coming to $225 thousand dollars. The figure also comes with a long story of how the original owner of the action figure came to posses the Rocket Firing Boba Fett L-Slot AFA 90.

It's amazing how much value is being placed on old figures like these. Would you consider purchasing the L-Slot Rocket Firing Boba Fett? Let us know in the comment section below.
