The Witcher Star Henry Cavill Gives Fans A Peek At Geralt’s Scars

Henry Cavill might be pretty busy working on the live-action adaptation of The Witcher for Netflix, but now it looks like the DC Extended Universe's Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice star has decided to give Witcher fans a close look at Geralt's scars in a brand new photo.

Though Cavill doesn't really tell us what kind of scene he filmed for The Witcher today, the actor gives fans a photo of his lifted shirt showing off the torso scars that he's going to display in the upcoming Netflix series.

Check out Cavill's Instagram post down here:

The scars look pretty realistic, props to The Witcher's make-up team. Though it entirely isn't surprising to see Geralt's torso littered with scars, we're a bit curious about the make-up's placement. No one adds torso scars just to hide it under armor. Either we see Geralt going into battle shirtless (which is eye candy but also highly unlikely), or we get to see the character in a love scene with Yennefer of Vengerberg, a character played by Anya Chalotra.

Right now The Witcher is in the middle of production, though principal photography is set to wrap up in the next few months. Netflix has been very careful to keep spoilers from leaking out to the public. While the production has had quite a number of shooting locations, we've yet to see major set leaks circulating online.

The Witcher doesn't have a scheduled release date yet, however, the series is poised to launch sometime during the last quarter of 2019.
