The Rock Addresses Potential Black Adam vs Superman Movie

It looks like Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is open to the possibility of having a Black Adam versus Superman movie in the DC Extended Universe.

Taking to Instagram, the Hollywood action movie star decided to share a video explaining why he's excited to take on the Black Adam role for DC. At one point in the video, Johnson gets to the topic of a movie between Black Adam and Superman. It seems like DC fans are hoping to see Henry Cavill's Man of Steel take on Johnson's version of the Shazam villain, and Johnson isn't opposed to the idea.

Responding to fans' hopes of seeing a Black Adam vs. Superman movie, Johnson says that maybe DC could develop the film "maybe down the road."

"How excited am I to play, BLACK ADAM⚡️? Very. I dive into more detail on the ‘why' and the character's mythology as well as a few key filmmakers who are ready to bring Black Adam's story to life as we begin shooting this summer," Johnson wrote on his post on Instagram.

DC fans are sure excited to see the Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle star make his way into the DCEU. Johnson's role as Black Adam has long since been announced, and the villain's appearance was well teased in Shazam!

Now, it looks like DC is planning to begin production on the Black Adam standalone movie this summer. We can't wait to see what kind of set photos might make their way online when Black Adam finally begins principal photography.

Black Adam is set to premiere on December 22, 2021.
