The Dark Knight’s Christian Bale Says Donald Trump May Have Really Believed He Was Bruce Wayne

President Donald Trump may have actually believed that The Dark Knight trilogy actor Christian Bale really was Bruce Wayne in the flesh.

Bale just recently spoke with Variety on the red carpet premiere for his upcoming film Vice, and the actor who now plays the part of US Vice President Dick Cheney was asked about how he met current President Donald Trump. Bale met the then only-businessman Donald Trump as part of the production of The Dark Knight Rises which was filmed at Trump Tower during one point where the Dark Knight actor was invited to Trump's office.

According to Bale, Trump may have actually believed that he was really Bruce Wayne because of the way he was dressed because the businessman spoke like he was talking with the billionaire playboy philanthropist of Gotham City.

"I think he thought I was Bruce Wayne," the actor jokingly told the publication, "because I was dressed as Bruce Wayne. So he talked to me like I was Bruce Wayne and I just went along with it, really. It was quite entertaining. I had no idea at the time that he would think about running for president."

It's a funny little story, though it might have been possible that Trump was also playing around during that time. But who knows, Trump may have very well really believed that Bruce Wayne was an actual human being instead of a comic book character. The President doesn't seem like a man who knows that much about comic books or comic book movies, but then again, we can't really be sure.

Vice hits cinemas December 25.
