Stargirl Set Photos Reveal Doctor Mid-Nite’s Costume

The COVID-19 pandemic might have shut down the production of many upcoming films and television series, but that doesn't mean that production crew members can't keep fans busy with photos taken from previous sets.

Taking to Instagram, DC Specialty Costume Designer Laura Jean Shannon decided to share a series of behind-the-scenes photos taken from the set of DC's highly anticipated comic book series, Stargirl.

In the images that Shannon decided to post on social media, fans can get an up close look at the "Golden Era" version of Doctor Mid-Nite set to be played by Haunting of the Hill actor Henry Thomas.

"Some behind the scenes looks on the set of Stargirl. LJ and ACD Sarah will always visit the set for the start of filming to "establish" characters, like Doctor Midnite Golden Era seen here. Meaning that she ensures that each character is dressed and styled to her exact vision, and that is what will remain the standard for the rest of the season!," Lauren wrote on her post.

The hero is a progressive and forward-thinking Medical pioneer who helps found the justice league of America. The character got to appear in a cameo in Stargirl's "Crisis on Infinite Earths" moment which had Courtney Whitemore (Brec Bassinger) show up together with several other young superheroes.

Stargirl is set to premiere on Monday, May 18, 2020.
