Star Wars Twitter Hashtag and Emoji Spoils Darth Maul Arc in The Clone Wars

Star Wars: The Clone Wars Season 7 just made its big debut last week, and now fans are looking forward to the next few episodes in the final season of the critically-acclaimed Star Wars animated series.

While fans can only guess what's going to happen next in the seventh season of The Clone Wars, it seems like a new Star Wars emoji on Twitter might give away a major character arc for Maul in the seventh season of the show.

Disney just recently unveiled brand new character emojis for Star Wars on its official Twitter account for Disney+. During its most recent post, the Mickey Mouse House decided to challenge Star Wars fans purposefully hidden emojis and hashtags for The Clone Wars characters.

"#TheCloneWars isn't the only hashtag with a light (or dark) side...#Ahsoka#Anakin#BoKatan#CaptainRex#MaceWindu#Maul#ObiWan#Padme#Yoda#332nd," Disney wrote on its Disney+ Twitter account, "Oh, and there might just be one more emoji to uncover… Has anyone found it?"

Star Wars fans soon discovered that the hidden emoji was meant for Mauldalorian, a potential tease at the appearance of Maul's super commandos in Season 7 of The Clone Wars. During the first run of the series, fans got to see Maul overthrowing the Mandalorian government thanks to the help of his Shadow Collective. During the siege, Maul also formed a group of Mandalorian super commandos that wore black and red armor much like the one that we get to see in the new Star Wars emoji. Speaking in a Dathomarian accent, the Mandalorian super commandos had horns on their helmets as well.

Could we get to see the super commandos in the final batch of episodes of The Clone Wars?
