Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker Novel’s Failings Spark #WeLoveBenSolo

Star Wars fans might have thought very little of Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) the moment he was introduced in Star Wars: The Force Awakens, however, over time Lucasfilm's writers managed to turn the "emo" son of Han Solo (Harrison Ford) and Leia (the late Carrie Fisher) into one of the most emotionally complex characters in the Disney Star Wars sequel trilogy.

Unfortunately, it seems like there seems to be very little of Kylo Ren in the novelization for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker. The novelization of Episode IX was made available in limited qualities at the C2E2 last weekend, and to the dismay of Ben Solo's fans, the new book has very little to offer when it comes to Kylo Ren.

Now, it looks like fans have started a Twitter campaign to declare their love for Ben Solo, and now it looks like the #WeLoveBenSolo hashtag is going strong.

Check out some of the tweets down here:

It's such a shame that the novelization for The Rise of Skywalker didn't offer that much of Ben Solo. Fans would have appreciated exploring the inner workings of Ben Solo's mind. The Rise of Skywalker is a pivotal moment for the character – it's in this Star Wars episode that fans get to see Ben Solo turn back to the light after taking Snoke's place as the Supreme Leader of the First Order.

Perhaps Lucasfilm is planning to explore the Episode IX segment in Marvel's comic book series, Star Wars: The Rise of Kylo Ren. Let's hope they do.

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker is making its way to Digital HD on March 17, 2020. The film is set to release on DVD, Blu-Ray, and 4K Ultra HD on March 31, 2020.
