Star Wars: The Mandalorian Theory Suggests Mando Has Been Mourning Lost Lover

There's been a whole lot of excitement over the second season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian.

Star Wars fans have a whole lot of unanswered questions left over from the first season of the series. Who exactly is Baby Yoda? What does Moff Gideon (Giancarlo Esposito want to do with the Child? Is Baby Yoda actually related to Jedi Master Yoda? Who's been taking care of the child before Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal)?

While The Mandalorian has yet to answer these questions, Star Wars fans have been coming up with all sorts of theories about Mando and Baby Yoda on Reddit, and it seems like one of the latest fan theories has everyone thinking of Din Djarin's lover (via Express).

Taking to Reddit, one Star Wars fan suggests that the Mandalorian armor codes may have actually revealed a tragic past for Mando. Connecting The Mandalorian to old Star Wars lore, the fan suggests that Din Djarin may have actually lost a lover in the past – well, on account of his gray armor.

"Gray Armor = Mourning a Lost Love. Romantic? Platonic? Mourning generally?" Redditor Clone_Chaplain explained in the post.

It's an interesting theory, that's for sure. According to old Star Wars lore, Mandalorians represent different aspects of their past and their personality through their armor. It doesn't seem that surprising given that Din Djarin had to earn his signet, the skull of a mudhorn.

Of course, we're not entirely sure whether the color of armor is of any significance in The Mandalorian, but it very well could be. Let's wait and see.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian season 2 premieres on Disney+ sometime later this year.
