Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 Leaks Suggest a Connection to Darth Vader Helmet

Last week, word came out that Terminator alum Michael Biehn would be joining the cast of Star Wars: The Mandalorian.

Though we've yet to hear from Lucasfilm about what role the Aliens star might play in Jon Favreau's hit live-action Star Wars series, there are reports making the rounds online saying that Biehn is going to play a "bounty hunter from the Mando's past."

Now, new leaks suggest that Biehn's character may have a connection to Darth Vader.

Making Star Wars just recently got word about what Biehn's bounty hunter might look like in the second season of The Mandalorian and the Star Wars fan site decided to drop a new sketch online. Not only does the sketch make the bounty hunter look a whole lot like a samurai, but it also features a helmet that reminds fans of Darth Vader and non-Stormtroopers serving the Empire in the era of the Star Wars original trilogy.

In Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, fans got to see Vader-esque helmets on the heads of AT-AT and AT-ST drivers. Han also wore a similar helmet as a Mud Trooper in Solo: A Star Wars Story.

Seeing this kind of helmet on Biehn's bounty hunter head, one can only wonder whether the character was part of the Imperial army or whether he'd been a former operator of the Empire's ground vehicles. It would seem likely seeing how The Mandalorian has been showcasing remnants of the Empire after its fall in Return of the Jedi.

Of course, as interesting as this theory might be, the sketch that Making Star Wars offered was based on recent leaks for The Mandalorian. Lucasfilm could very well have a different plan for Biehn. Let's wait and see.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 2 is set to premiere sometime this year.
