Star Wars: The Mandalorian Receives Nomination from Television Critics Association Awards

Star Wars: The Mandalorian was an instant hit when it premiered on Disney+ in November last year. Not only did Pedro Pascal draw in fans with his phenomenal work as Dinn Djarin, but the entire fanbase was captivated by the charms of the wrinkly, doe-eyed Baby Yoda.

Now, it looks like The Mandalorian is in the running for an award from the TV Critics Association.

According to a report by Fantha Tracks, the TV Critics Association has just announced its nominations for the year, and it looks like Jon Favreau's hit Star Wars series is in the running for an award from the organization.

Together with shows like The Great from Hulu, The Morning Show from AppleTV+, Never Have I Ever from Netflix, Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist from NBC, and the critically acclaimed adaptation of Alan Moore's Watchmen on HBO, The Mandalorian is now up for the Outstanding New Program award from the TV Critics Association.

The series might have to contend with Watchmen, but we have confidence that The Mandalorian does have its merits.

This isn't the only award that the series is being put up for, of course. The Mandalorian has been nominated for the Ray Bradbury Award for Outstanding Dramatic Presentation at the Nebula Awards, and it's also won a number of accolades from the Visual Effects Society Awards including Outstanding Visual Effects in a Photoreal Episode, Outstanding Model in a Photoreal or Animated Project, and the Maxwell Weinberg Publicist Snowmaship Television Award.

Right now, fans are eagerly waiting for news about the second season of the hit Star Wars series.
