Star Wars: The High Republic May Center Around The Starlight Beacon

Last week, Lucasfilm decided to unveil the details behind its mysterious Project Luminous, revealing its Star Wars: The High Republic, a multi-platform publishing initiative that's to take place 200 years before Star Wars: The Phantom Menace.

According to Lucasfilm, The High Republic is going to offer stories on different characters. However, the Dork Side of the Force suggests that the comics and novels under the upcoming publishing event are going to be bound together by one specific place: the mysterious Starlight Beacon.

According to the entertainment news outlet, Starlight Beacon has been described by Lucasfilm as "quite literally a beacon of hope" during the company's invite-only panel for Project Luminous. The beacon is at the center of the cover of Charles Soule's new book Light of the Jedi, the first novel to kick of The Hight Republic on August 25. In the cover, the Starlight Beacon hovers right above the four main Jedi protagonists of the book with the tallest point twinkling with light.

The space edifice also seems to be a central figure in Cavan Scott's upcoming comic book series The Hight Republic. The comics will bring fans aboard the Starlight beacon as it features the story of Jedi coming together after the Great Disaster.

The beacon is also going to be in Soule's upcoming Star Wars No. 2 with Rebellion commander Grek introduce a mission called "Operation Starlight."

It seems like hope is still a key point in the Star Wars new publishing initiative which is something that may have built on Rogue One: A Star Wars Story's most memorable line: Rebellions are built on hope.

Star Wars: The High Republic is to begin in August 2020.
