Last month, word came out that Lucasfilm had been trying to cast Marvel Netflix star Rosario Dawson as Star Wars’ live-action Ahsoka in the second season of The Mandalorian.

Though the studio has yet to confirm rumors about Ahsoka appearing in the next batch of episodes in Jon Favreau’s hit Star Wars series, reports regarding Dawson’s casting has sparked multiple fan theories. One of the most recent fan theories to make the rounds online suggest that a Star Wars Rebels friend may join everyone’s favorite ex-Padawan.

According to Express, there’s a possibility that Sabine Wren may appear alongside Ahsoka in The Mandalorian. The last time that fans got to see Anakin Skywalker’s former Padawan was in the final episode of Star Wars Rebels when Ahsoka decided to set off on a quest together with Sabine to search for Ezra Bridger in the Unknown Regions of the galaxy far, far away.

If Ahsoka were to appear in the Outer Rim and stumble on Mando (Pedro Pascal) and Baby Yoda, then it wouldn’t be a surprise to find Sabine together with the Fulcrum agent. It would definitely be exciting to see both Ahsoka and Sabine make their way into the live-action realm of Star Wars.

Unfortunately, as exciting as it may be to have Ahsoka and Sabine in The Mandalorian, Lucasfilm has yet to announce Dawson’s casting in the series. A spokesperson from Disney just recently told the entertainment news outlet they still were “not able to confirm anything” regarding Ahsoka in The Mandalorian.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian Season 1 is available for streaming on Disney+. Season 2 is set to premiere sometime this year.
