Star Wars’ John Boyega Talks About Fans Hoping He’d Play Blade Or Green Lantern

It looks like Star Wars' John Boyega isn't quite interested in becoming the Marvel Cinematic Universe's next Blade or the DC Extended Universe's Green Lantern.

Though the British actor seems to be willing to join either Marvel or DC's cinematic universes, telling Screen Rant that it "wouldn't be a problem" for him to take a hand at another tentpole franchise. The only problem is that he isn't really sure who he'd want to play if he'd join either Marvel or DC.

However, when the publication brings up names like John Stewart or Blade, Boyega takes a step back.

"They're doing a Green Lantern? (Negatively groans) Sss.. Hmmm…..Eghhh…. (Laughs) And Wesley, man. That's Wesley for Blade. I would want to see Wesley."

Though Boyega's fans have been busy hoping that the actor might take on the roles, it seems like the Pacific Rim Uprising star just isn't very interested in playing Green Lantern. Boyega also seems to be a bit hesitant taking on Snipes role as Marvel's iconic vampire hunter. There's nothing that fans can really do at this point.

However, while Boyega doesn't seem too keen on the roles, Black Panther star Sterling Brown does seem very much interested on becoming DC's John Stewart, and so has Fast and Furious' Tyrese Gibson.

Let's just wait and see what happens.

Boyega's latest Star Wars film, The Last Jedi, is getting its Digital HD release on March 13 and its Blu-Ray and DVD release on March 27.
