Star Wars Jedi Academy Console Gamers Being Slaughtered by PC Crossplayers

It looks like Star Wars players revisiting the classic 2003 Star Wars Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy are being slaughtered by cross-playing PC gamers.

Jedi Academy made its way to PS4 and Switch this month, and while console users are all excited to try out the Star Wars classic, it looks like they're having a hard time competing with gamers on PC.

According to a report by Engadget, PC gamers playing Jedi Academy have been cross-playing on consoles, conquering the online multiplayer game and killing off their hapless Jedi opponents who still have trouble with the game on PS4 and Switch.

PC gamers have been playing the game since its release in 2003, so they have no difficulty at all operating the game using their keyboard and mouse. Console gamers haven't had the same kind of time and experience.

"Apparently, you have to do is take the server IP from a console match, which is clearly visible on console, and enter it in the PC server browser and join," a Jedi Academy console player wrote on ResetEra forum. "I joined a game where one player was absolutely mopping the floor with us and he had .twitchtv in his username. Sure enough, I looked him up and he was playing on PC in a switch server absolutely decimating everyone."

Not only are the PC gamers cross-playing to console, but they've also managed to find new ways to cheat and troll new gamers. Gamers new to Jedi Academy aren't really happy that PC players are massacring them the first time they log online.

We hope that Aspyr responds to these issues soon, because it's not a very good environment for gamers who just want to enjoy Jedi Academy.
