Star Wars: Episode IX Theory Says Major Battle Between Rey And Ren On Iconic Ship

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker has yet to receive its first full trailer, however, it looks like there have already been quite a number of theories going on around online. One of the latest theories about The Rise of Skywalker suggests that a major Skywalker battle may very well end up on a very familiar ship – the Millennium Falcon.

According to a report by Express, the Vanity Fair photo taken from the behind the scenes of The Rise of Skywalker has been sparking all sorts of theories about the upcoming film. In the photo, we get to see Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) fighting against Rey (Daisy Ridley) right on top of a vague, wall-covered area.

Fans have been sharing the photo on social media asking what in the world the area could be. The easiest answer is the Falcon, a ship that fans have seen all throughout the Star Wars sequel trilogy. Others hope that it's the Death Star.

It's an interesting proposition. The Falcon has long since played a part in the Star Wars franchise. It would be good to see the ship one last time in the final installment in Lucasfilm's sequel trilogy. The only question now is whether or not the Falcon flies out of The Rise of Skywalker unharmed. Would Kylo Ren have done something to the Falcon? The Star Wars baddie doesn't hold too many fond memories of his father, after all. Maybe Finn, Rey, and Kylo Ren manage to mess up the Falcon during its last ride. We'll just have to wait and see.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premieres December 26, 2019.
