Now that Solo: A Star Wars Story’s finishing up its run in cinemas, all eyes are turned towards the next big Star Wars release – Star Wars: Episode IX.

With the recent rumor that Disney’s decided to put a hold on all its upcoming Star Wars spinoffs and put its focus on the sequel to The Last Jedi, a new set of Episode IX rumors have made their way online.

According to a Star Wars fan on Reddit (via Cosmic Book News) this new batch of Star Wars rumors has a lot of major surprises. Not only will Snoke (Andy Serkis) return, but so will Luke (Mark Hamill). The Dark Side Force user will appear to Kylo Ren (Adam Driver), while Luke will make his return as a Force Ghost or an apparition of the Force ( much like how we’ve seen him in The Last Jedi).

Other supposed plot details include a new lightsaber for Rey (Daisy Ridley), Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac) and his new beard, and Finn’s (John Boyega) two new blaster pistols. The rumor also includes nods to the original Star Wars trilogy with a Kylo Ren and Rey fight sequence similar to what fans have seen in Return of the Jedi.

Of course, while all of these rumors sound exciting, fans have to remember to take the report with a grain of salt. A lot of the rumors surrounding the Star Wars franchise end up being baloney, so don’t wholeheartedly believe everything you come across.

Solo: A Star Wars Story is currently screening in cinemas.  Meanwhile, Star Wars: Episode IX premieres on December 20, 2019.
