It looks like Star Wars director J.J. Abrams, his wife Katie McGrath, and his Bad Robot Productions team are donating millions to help support the fight against racism and the Black Lives movement in the wake of George Floyd's unwarranted killing.
Bad Robot made a post on Instagram today making a pledge of $10 million dollars together with The Katie McGrath and JJ Abrams Family Foundation to support organizations committed to anti-racist agendas.
"We at Bad Robot are grateful to the many scholars, activists, organizers and leaders fighting on the frontlines of change in our systemically unjust country. #blacklivesmatter," Bad Robot wrote on its post.

Not only does the statement call out on white privilege and police brutality, but it acknowledges that money isn't the only thing that will help fix America's issues. The Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker director's production company and foundation says enough to police brutality, outsized privilege, polite conversation, white comfort, and lopsided access.
"Enough injustice. Enough death. Enough," the statement reads.
Right now, Abrams and his team are donating $200,000 each to organizations like Black Lives Matter LA, Black Futures Lab, Community Coalition, Equal Justice Initiative, and the Know Your Rights Camp.
It's amazing to see companies like Abrams come out in support of the Black Lives Matter movement. Protests have been surging across the nation in a battle against racism and police brutality after the unwarranted death of African American man George Floyd who died at the hands of the police in Minneapolis.
Abrams of course isn't the only one who's been supporting the movement. Star Wars, Marvel, Disney, Bethesda, and EA have all issued statements supporting the fight. We're really glad to see the world coming together to fight against inequality and injustice.
