Star Wars Actress Opens Up About Carrie Fisher’s Kindness In The Force Awakens

It's been a while since Carrie Fisher's tragic passing in 2016, yet it's still difficult to get over the fact that the Star Wars legend never got to complete her legacy as Princess Leia in Disney's Star Wars sequel trilogy.

Though it's been months since the Skywalker saga has come to an end with the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, small Star Wars actress Maisie Richardson-Sellers has decided to open up about the short time she had with Fisher in Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

The actress who played Resistance Military Officer Korr Sella just recently spoke in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, and during the discussion with the entertainment news outlet, Richardson-Sellers decided to open up about the scene that she shared with Fisher.

"My first-ever on-camera experience was a scene with Carrie Fisher," Richardson-Sellers explained. "I had no idea what I was doing. I had never been on a set before. I had only done theater up until that point. It was an overwhelming but amazing baptism by fire. It turned what could have been a painful experience into a really positive one, a learning experience."

According to the Star Wars newbie, Fisher had made her experience in Star Wars so much easier, saying that the Star Wars legend was "gentle, sweet, down to earth."

When she had gotten on set together with Fisher, the Princess Leia star assuaged the young actress fears saying that they've got the scene and then opening up her doors to chat with the Star Wars newbie.

Fisher really was a gem, and we continue to grieve her heartbreaking passing. It's such a shame that she never got to complete Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

The Skywalker saga is available for streaming on Disney+.
