Star Wars: A New Hope’s Most Famous Blooper Gets A Hilarious New Documentary

Star Wars fans can be very passionate. Not only do fans spend a whole lot of time speculating what might come out in upcoming Star Wars movies, but they also take time to revisit their favorite Star Wars movies to scrutinize every little detail of the franchise.

One detail that fans couldn't help but notice in Star Wars: A New Hope is the clumsy Imperial soldier who bumps his head on the Death Star Door.

Now, thanks to the documentary The Empire Strikes Door by Jamie Stangroom, fans get to learn about various Star Wars mysterious, including the identity of A New Hope's clumsy stormtrooper.

In the documentary, we get to see writer, podcaster, and YouTube personality Stangroom interview different Star Wars actors and extras who've made the funniest mistakes in the franchise. The trailer for the documentary seems to be a whole lot of fun, making a parody out of the marketing campaign for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker.

The Empire Strikes Door seems like a hoot, from the documentary's title to its tagline reminding fans that "every generation has an idiot."

This isn't the first time that Stangroom's produced Star Wars material. The writer's work has appeared on Star Wars' official website, Comedy Central, BBC Live, and AMC. However, The Empire Strikes Door seems like it's going to be one of Stangroom's most ambitious projects yet.

What do you think? Are you excited to see The Empire Strikes Door?

Stangroom's documentary is set for release on September 25, 2019. Meanwhile, Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker premieres December 20, 2019.
