Sean Bean On Which Stark Child Will Survive Game Of Thrones’ Final Season

Game of Thrones is down to its eighth and final season next year, and everyone's wondering who's going to survive the battle between the living and the dead at the end of the series. Will Daenerys (Emilia Clark) live to see the light of day? Will Jon Snow (Kit Harrington)? How about the rest of the Stark children?

Speaking in an interview with Mashable, Sean Bean a.k.a. Ned Stark himself decided to weigh in on the matter, trying to figure out which of his children would survive the fight in the series finale of HBO's smash hit fantasy epic.

"Who's left?" the actor said on the phone, trying to recall the endless rain of blood that's been falling on his house ever since his character's death in season 1 of the series.

"Jon Snow is left, isn't he? But Arya would have to be it. Yeah, Arya will last -- maybe she'll be on the throne," Bean finally decided.

While some Game of Thrones might disagree and cry out the names of their favorite Stark child instead, it isn't unlikely to see Arya (Maisie Williams) surviving the final season of the series. After all, the youngest Stark does have her assassin training to help her.

During the interview, Bean also decided to touch on the topic of his character's death. Among the many players in Game of Thrones, Ned Stark was considered one of the noblest characters, and many were heartbroken to see his head put on the end of a spike during the first season of the series.

It was a memorable event -- a bit of a shock," Bean told the publication. "I'm proud of all that, though. It's great to be part of a phenomenon, establish this character and then he's there forever."

Of course, fans are never going to forget Ned. The North will always remember.

Game of Thrones season 8 is set to make its big premiere sometime next year.
