Samuel L. Jackson Says Another Avengers Group May Form After Endgame

Marvel lost a lot of the original Avengers at the end of Avengers: Endgame. Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) gave up her life so that the Avengers could obtain the Soul Stone on Vormir. Iron Man (Robert Downey Jr.) sacrificed his life to keep Thanos (Josh Brolin) from taking out the entire universe. Meanwhile, Captain America (Chris Evans) decided to go back in time to spend his life with Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell).

With half of the original six gone, fans can only wonder what's going to happen to the Avengers. Will the world's greatest team of heroes form another group? Will Marvel stop making Avengers movies now that Black Widow, Iron Man, and Captain America are gone?

Spider-Man: Far From Home star Samuel L. Jackson doesn't feel that way.

Speaking in an interview with Cinema Blend, Jackson strongly believes that the Avengers are going to stay broken for long. In fact, the Marvel actor who's been playing Nick Fury for years says that Marvel's heroes may very well form another Avengers group as the franchise continues on to Phase 4 of the MCU.

"No, I don't think that," Jackson said. "I always think that there's room for every kind of story to be told, and at some point you know they are going to have to put together another Avengers group of some sort to deal with whatever's coming next," Jackson told the publication, "Nick knows something is coming, the same way he found out in Captain Marvel 'okay there are other things out there that need to be dealt with that I didn't know about'."

Of course, it won't be a surprise to see another iteration of the Avengers forming in the future. In fact, Endgame already set it up. Steve Rogers passed on the Captain America mantle to Falcon (Anthony Mackie), and Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) was seen training his daughter.

Let's wait and see what Marvel has in store for us.

Avengers: Endgame is set for a rerelease with extra footage on June 28, 2019.
