Rey Crashes A Funky Party In A New Deleted Scene From Star Wars: The Last Jedi

Star Wars: The Last Jedi's getting its digital release today, and Lucasfilm has been busy adding to the hype by throwing out some of the bonus content for the film's home release.

One of the deleted scenes which recently made their way online show a bit more of Ahch-To's caretakers, the grumpy stickler "Fish Nuns" who often find their work interrupted by Rey's (Daisy Ridley) shenanigans on the island.

The fish nuns' interactions with Rey make for pretty good comedic relief, and in the deleted scene fans get to see Rey running across Ahch-To's shoreline after seeing fire blossoming across the area where Luke (Mark Hamill) and the caretakers live.

Running with her saber in hand, Rey cuts down the gate to the caretaker's compound, only to find herself in the middle of fish nun party. Shocked by her entry, the fish nuns pause for a bit, only to encourage Rey to wave her saber around and resume the party.

It's a pretty funny sequence and it does give fans a different feel of Ahch-To, adding a few tribal elements to what initially seemed like an ascetic community. While it is an interesting sequence, we understand why Johnson would have chosen to chuck the whole party out of the film.

Star Wars: The Last Jedi is available on Digital HD. The film will also be made available on Blu-Ray and DVD on March 27.
