Obi-Wan Kenobi Series Production Reportedly in Major Trouble

Star Wars fans might be eager to see Ewan McGregor return to Lucasfilm's galaxy far, far away in the studio's upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series, however, new reports reveal that the project might be encountering a few issues that are delaying the series' production.

According to a report by Cosmic Book News, fans may have to expect some sort of production delay on Kenobi. While Disney might want Lucasfilm to begin filming the series this July, the entertainment news outlet says that McGregor's involvement in Ryan Murphy's A Chorus Line is causing some sort of schedule conflict with the upcoming Star Wars series.

The report also claims that the actor is experiencing more behind-the-scenes issues, adding to the production delay of Kenobi.

This might come as disappointing news for Star Wars fans. Everyone's been looking forward to Kenobi. For years, fans have been hoping to see McGregor return and reprise his role as everyone's favorite benevolent Jedi Knight. Those dreams came true when Lucasfilm announced that it would be developing a new series revolving around the Jedi, and that the series would be aired on Disney+.

Fans have also been itching to see the new Star Wars series ever since the first season of Star Wars: The Mandalorian came to an end on Disney's new streaming site. Jon Favreau's live-action Star Wars was a major hit among fans – everyone loved Pedro Pascals Mando and his green, doe-eyed little charge, Baby Yoda.

Now, it seems like fans are going to have to wait a bit longer for their next Star Wars fix.

Star Wars: The Mandalorian is currently streaming on Disney+.
