Star Wars Battlefront II is making its big release this Friday, but EA’s been recently having a tough time with Star Wars gamers after the publisher handled gamer’s concerns over unlocking characters rather poorly.

Star Wars players with EA Access subscriptions got to play the game on a free trial last weekend, finding out that it would take nearly 40 hours just to unlock Star Wars Battlefront II characters like Darth Vader or Luke Skywalker. Gamers posed their concern online, however, EA’s initial response on Reddit seemed to address the issue very poorly, inciting an outrage in the Star Wars gaming community.

Since then EA’s changed its policies, cutting down its hero costs by 75 percent. However, it seems like the anger toward’s EA’s original policies for Battlefront II have yet to simmer down, and more and more accusations have been thrown at the companies face.

One of these accusations by Reddit user Puga1505 claims that the company has just removed the “refund” button for pre-orders of the Star Wars Battlefront sequel on Origin. Gamers have piled on to the post and seeing how irate the community has been the past few days, it would seem like EA’s got more trouble brewing on the horizon.

However, while this accusation could pose as another PR nightmare for EA, Puga1505’s story is untrue. EA couldn’t have possibly removed Star Wars Battlefront II’s “refund” option because the button never existed in the first place. The same holds true for all games made available for Pre-Order in EA’s Origin service.

Gamers who pre-ordered the Star Wars first-person shooter game can still ask for a refund for Battlefront II by contacting EA’s customer service line or by waiting for the game to release this Friday and get a refund for their purchase through Origin’s Great Game Guarantee program.

Origin has always worked this way, and it’s silly seeing someone claim that the site removed a “refund” button that just didn’t exist.

Star Wars Battlefront II releases on Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC this Friday, November 17, 2017.
