New Avengers: Endgame Synopsis Asks For The Help Of Captain Marvel

The marketing campaign for Avengers: Endgame has done little to showcase or even mention Brie Larson's Captain Marvel, but it looks like a new synopsis for the most highly anticipated film of 2019 has Carol Danvers being singled out as one of the Avengers' new recruits.

Last week, Marvel fans got to see their first official synopsis for the second installment in Joe and Anthony Russo's two-part Avengers movie. Now, thanks to theater chain Vue, they're getting another movie description for Endgame, this time one that highlights some of the major events in the film. Not only does the synopsis talk about the chaos that Thanos (Josh Brolin) brings in Avengers: Infinity War, but it also reveals new information about the Mad Titan becoming the ruler of the Universe.

"Things on earth are looking dismal. After the power of the infinity stones decimated half of the population, Thanos (Josh Brolin) has taken up the mantle as ruler of the universe, leaving the Avengers in ruin.

The demi-god will only expand upon his tyrannical rule – unless someone manages to stop him. So, with no time to mourn their losses, Black Widow (Scarlet Johansson), Thor (Chris Hemsworth), Captain America (Chris Evans), and Bruce Banner (Mark Ruffalo) must remain resilient and rally the remaining members of earth's mightiest heroes – and call on the services of Captain Marvel (Brie Larson).

Together, they must to figure out a way to bring back their vanquished allies and defeat the Mad Titan, or suffer a hopeless existence…"

It sounds like a pretty dramatic synopsis. Fans have long since been wondering what kind of role Captain Marvel might play in Endgame. While Carol Danvers is most certainly Marvel's strongest Avenger, Marvel has been putting its focus on the original members of the Avengers. After all, Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame are supposed to serve as a culmination of the past ten years of the Marvel Cinematic Universe – something which Danvers is yet to take part of.

Carol Danvers is set to debut in her own standalone movie, Captain Marvel. The film premieres on March 8, 2019. Avengers: Endgame on the other hand releases on April 26, 2019.
