Netflix Developing Three New Animated Series

It looks like Netflix is blasting full steam ahead on its anime train. Announcing a slew of new animated series for its site, Netflix is preparing a variety of new shows that includes a little bit of everything for anime fans.

According to Variety, Netflix has just announced three new animated shows bringing in a few big names from the industry. This includes the animated series titled Kid Cosmic by Craig McCracken from The Powerpuff Girls. Featuring the story of a young boy who stumbles on some cosmic stones that gifts him with different powers and abilities, McCracken tells fans that Kid Cosmic is "not your typical wish fulfillment story."

"It's the story of how the reality of having these powers doesn't live up to his fantasy," McCracken told the publication. "I always felt that the best part of superhero stories is when you watch them when they're trying to figure out their powers, not after they become awesome at it. That's when they're at their funniest and most relatable."

The second show named Trash Truck seems to be mainly for the viewership of children, focusing on the story of Hank, a six-year-old child who becomes friends with a trash truck. Trash Truck tells the story of Hank and his amazing new adventures with his friends. Netflix is also developing a new show titled Go! Go! Cory Carson, a series based on the Go! Go! Smart Wheels toys. The series focuses on Cory Carson and his adventures in Bumperton Hills.

The animated series' release dates aren't available just yet, but we'll update everyone as soon as we get word.
