Marvel Stuntman Gets GoFundMe Page for His Family After His Passing

Last month, Marvel Studios' stuntman Brian "Sonny" Nickels passed away at the age of 54. Now it looks like Nickels' family has a GoFundMe page asking financial support from Marvel fans to help support the family following the loss.

Launched by David Garrick, the GoFundMe page tries to look for financial assistance from the fans that loved Nickel's work. Nickels passed away from sudden cardiac arrest while in his home in West London, leaving behind his wife, Simone, and his two young children, the seven-year-old Sienna and the three-year-old Rocco. Right now the GoFundMe page has £18,095 (USD 23,444) of its £500,000 (USD 647,817) goal.

Garrick made the page because Nickels' death left the young widow Simone and his two young children with a heavy mortgage on the house which is difficult to pay off. Simone only worked for Nickels the past 11 years and the widow is now struggling with work while she's left to take care of two young children.

"Nothing financially was put into place or implemented as Brian's death was not expected or anticipated. Brian would be the first person to help any of us in need. Simone & Sienna watched and heard Brian graphically passing away, young Rocco is extremely confused and there is no counseling available as he is so young. Simone's focus needs to be on their precious babies and getting them through this horrific and traumatic time," the GoFundMe page reads.

This is definitely a difficult time for the Nickels family, especially since the only provider in the household has passed away.

The Marvel stuntman was once a boxer who decided to switch careers when he was 25. The stuntman worked for Marvel for quite some time, appearing in films like Thor: The Dark World, Captain America: The First Avenger, Avengers: Age of Ultron, and Guardians of the Galaxy. Nickels also worked on films outside of the MCU, like Skyfall and Spectre, Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Jason Bourne, Kingsman: The Golden Circle, and so many, many others.

Fans who would like to support Nickels' family in his passing can head over to the stuntman's GoFundMe Page to provide support.
