Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige Hints At The Return Of 'Forgotten' Characters

Now that Avengers: Endgame is out in cinemas, fans are hoping to learn more about what Marvel Studios has in store for Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This week, Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige went on an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on Reddit, and fans were quick to ask about the future of the franchise. Responding to questions posed by the fanbase, Feige teased the return of some of the MCU's "forgotten characters."

"I'm not sure I'd call them forgotten characters but I love bringing back characters people think they've seen the last of. For example, General Ross and Harley," Feige replied after being asked by a Redditor whether Marvel had plans to bring back old characters like Abomination, Leader, and Justin Hammer.

Though the Marvel film producer didn't give any specifics, it seems like the studio has a few plans for these characters. There's a lot of power in nostalgia, and bringing in old characters can be rewarding for fans who've followed the MCU ever since the release of its first film, Iron Man.

Case in point, Red Skull. The Marvel villain's return was one of the most shocking things that fans got to see in Avengers: Infinity War. Everyone loved seeing Johan Schmidt again, learning about what had happened to the villain after Captain America: The First Avenger.

Hopefully, we'll get to see other characters like Harley and General Ross in other Marvel films. Or Marvel mini-series. Who knows what the studio has planned.

Avengers: Endgame is currently screening in cinemas.
