Marvel Stars Being Tapped For The Oscars Ahead Of Avengers: Endgame

Kevin Hart might have left this year's Academy Awards ceremony without a host, but it looks like the Oscars have the Avengers assembling at the event.

According to a new post by The Hollywood Reporter, the Academy has decided to forego having a traditional host, instead of moving forward with a slew of different Hollywood celebrity presenters and speakers for the event. Now, it looks like the Oscars' producers are trying to get as many stars from Marvel Studios to join the ceremony, hoping that all of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's heroes come together up on stage to get the audience invested in the event.

Right now there aren't any details about how the Oscars would incorporate Robert Downey Jr., Chris Evans, Scarlett Johansson, and all of the big names in the MCU into this year's Academy Awards. What we do know however is that Oscar's producer/director Glenn Weiss as well as producer Donna Gigliotti, are both working hard at bringing all of Marvel's celebrity into the event.

Now, while this might not seem like big news to fans, there's the hope that Disney or Marvel might use the appearance to their advantage and drop the newest trailer for Avengers: Endgame during the ceremony.

After all, wouldn't Disney want to help promote one of the most highly-anticipated Marvel movies of the year in the biggest award ceremony in the Hollywood industry? The Oscars would be a big opportunity for the Mickey Mouse House.

Let's wait and see whether Disney takes the bait.

Avengers: Endgame premieres April 26, 2019.
