Marvel fans have a lot to look forward to next year. Not only is Marvel preparing for Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, the studio is also working on a new set of series for Disney's upcoming streaming platform, Disney+.
Right now, Marvel is preparing a slew of mini-series for Marvel characters that never really got to star in their own standalone movies. This includes Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), Vision (Paul Bettany), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Bucky (Sebastian Stan), Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Rocket Raccoon (Bradley Cooper), Groot (Vin Diesel), and of course fan-favorite antihero, Loki (Tom Hiddleston).
There hasn't been that much revealed about the upcoming series, but according to Hiddleston, the Loki streaming series is going to be challenging in so many different ways.
The Hollywood Reporter recently spoke with Tom Hiddleston about his carreer, and during the discussion with the actor, the entertainment news outlet brought up the topic of Loki. Apparently, the Disney+ series is going to be one of Marvel Studios' bigger investments starting out on Disney's streaming platform. The Marvel star also promises fans that the series will surprise them.
"It is a constant source of surprise and delight that these films have connected with people. I knew he was a complex figure. Intelligent yet vulnerable. Angry and lost and broken and witty. I thought it was an amazing opportunity and it's grown into this network of movies. I could never have expected it," Hiddleston said.
When asked to explain more about Loki, the actor tried his best to remain coy.
"All I can tell you that it is called Loki. It is a new departure, but I can't explain why," Hiddleston told the publication.
We definitely can't wait to see where Loki is going to take us.
Avengers: Endgame is set for a rerelease on June 28, 2019.
